Codex Model Bridge

Privacy policy

Effective date: 24 August 2026

This policy describes Codex Model Bridge, an independent local compatibility component operated by Sami Sytelä. It is not an OpenAI product and is not endorsed by OpenAI.

What the component does

The component runs on the user's Windows device and communicates with a compatible local host through standard input/output process pipes. It does not provide a project-operated hosted API or advertising service.

Information handled

Depending on the user's configuration and requests, the component may process prompts, instructions, files, tool results, model responses, model identifiers, provider settings, endpoint URLs, and local operational state. Native account authentication remains with the installed official backend. Credentials should be supplied through the provider's supported mechanism; credentials are not intended to be stored in bridge configuration files.

Where information goes

The component does not send requests to a project-operated server. When a user selects an external provider, request data is sent to that provider by the configured local workflow. That provider's privacy policy and retention terms apply to those requests. The compatible host and official backend may also process data under their own terms.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Configuration and local operational files remain on the user's device until the user changes or removes them. The operator does not maintain a central copy of those files. Users can stop the process, remove provider configuration, delete local files, or uninstall the package. Data sent to an external provider is subject to that provider's controls and retention policy.

Sharing and tracking

The operator does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. This public policy site may have ordinary hosting logs supplied by its hosting provider; those logs are governed by that provider's terms. The bridge itself is not intended to collect advertising identifiers or operate a telemetry account.

Contact and requests

For privacy questions, deletion requests, or data-subject requests, contact sami.sytela@filysium.com. Please do not include passwords, access tokens, or private prompts in a request. We will assess requests based on the information available to the operator and the applicable law.

Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
